5 Books That Transformed My Life

Just looking back throughout my life I never considered myself a reader. I rather of paid $13 at a bar for a drink on the weekend, instead of $13 for a new book. I much rather of went out with friends to do something else or to a bar for a drink every single time. I want to help others make that mindset shift to opposite sides of the spectrum too. While still enjoying a celebratory drink once in a while. It wasn’t until I discovered my vision and path I wanted to embark on that I decided to start reading books aligned with my journey.  When you are reading something you choose, and that helps better yourself towards your goals, it’s a whole different story.  These books were the most impactful to my overall transformation, and I applied the lessons to my own life.

  • Think And Grow Rich- Napoleon Hill

This book changed my life forever; It’s a great starting point for people. He interviewed over 500 of the most successful people in the world at the time in over 20 years. This book is the result of his findings.

  • Social Media Made Me Rich- Matthew Loop

This book helped me with starting my branding and business. It taught me strategies about social media and how to get attention.  It dived into the specific tactics and planned to use the Internet to get your ideas out to people. It’s super in detail and gives you a step by step guide as well as action steps. Bring your pen for notes!

  • The Third Door- Alex Banayan

This is the journey of Alex as a freshman in college to meeting some of the most successful people and to find out how they launched their careers. But, It’s much deeper than that! It takes you on an adventure with obstacles and issues to finally show you that pursing your mission is possible. He interviewed Bill Gates, Mata Angelou, Steve Wozniak, Larry King, Jessica Alba, Pitbull, Tim Ferriss, Quincy Jones, Warren Buffet, and more. If you have a dream and you timid about pursuing, this is a must-read. You will not want to put this book down. Also, Alex Banayan is sincerely a great-hearted human, I am on his mentor session zoom calls, and he’s always looking to give more than he takes.

  • Can’t Hurt Me- David Goggins

This book takes you into a Navy Seal journey through abuse, poverty to a life of hard work, discipline, and toughness. This must-read for anyone needing some momentum or inspiration. David Goggins has completed some physical feats that I still don’t understand. One example is running an ultra marathon with less than a week’s notice and ending it on broken feet.  David refers to this as the 40% rule that we only tap into 40% of what we can give. He is extreme and intense, but this is what many of us need to start.

  • Breaking The Habit Of Being Yourself- Joe Dispenza

Dr. Joe Dispenza combines neuroscience, quantum physics, biology, and epigenetics to show you new possibilities in life. You will learn how to lean towards your future vision of yourself and transform yourself! This is cool. He combined science and spirituality. Also, he has excellent meditations that work to rewire your brain as well, targeting your subconscious.

If you can, I would follow the authors of each of these books and even order the hard copy or the audio version. I would suggest having the actual books to indulge in the material over and over. Remember, repetition is the mother of skill. Also, a great strategy I use is only read books that have to do with your current life situation. You can then apply and then retain all the information in regards to it right in the present. Remember, you must apply everything learned from these books to have the transformation!

I don’t read any fiction books; I would be interested in any recommendations. I would enjoy a thriller or a mystery most. Please let me know!
