4 Things You Must Do After Waking Up

What do employees, entrepreneurs, and all people have in common? We all need the energy to complete our tasks for the day.

 “I’m so tired; I need my coffee.” This is a comment I hear all the time. It’s so commonly used today that people even say “My” coffee instead of “A “coffee. Like it’s a part of who we are, America really does run on Dunkin.

People are waking up in the morning and without thinking, running to drink a coffee. Nothing wrong with having a coffee in the morning (minus the artificial sugars added), but what If I told you there was a way to gain energy in the morning while increasing your joy naturally? Well, there is.

Follow these tips, and “your” coffee later will just be fuel to the fire. The secret to energy is both our physical and mental states.

1. Hydration Is a MUST

You MUST drink 16-24 ounces of filtered water immediately after
waking up. You can chug this or drink it as fast as you can. You sweat, and your
body gets dehydrated while sleeping.

2. Mindfulness To Take Control

Do not look at your phone, social media, or any notifications. This time is for you to organize your thoughts. You can do meditation or breathing, do some research. The benefits include improving mental functions, gaining clarity, more awareness, increased creativity, reduces stress/anxiety & depression. Also, it enhances the immune system, lower blood pressure, reduces inflammation, improves energy levels overall, and increases access to flow states and to be in the moment.

3. Move Your Butt

Movement and exercise are essential for a healthy mind and body. Movement is something you will enjoy once you develop the habit. A tip is to start with just showing up, even if you work out for 10 minutes and go on from there.  This results in particular moo enhancing endorphins ( serotonin, GABA, GH) being released in your body and will help you attack the day. The benefits include increased alertness, more overall energy, better focus, better mood, support weight loss, and more.

4. Cold Shower To Prepare Mind

Keep in mind; nobody likes cold showers. Most people will read this and just be completely turned off to even think about a cold shower. I bet some of you just got the urge to exit out of this page. I was one of those people, and I promise that’s just a belief running through your head.

Start warm, and do your shower business, play the music you love. Enjoy it. Once finished, turn the shower to completely cold and take control of your mindset. Remember, you can start with just 10 seconds and work your way to a few minutes. You will learn how to control your fight, freeze, or flight part of your brain called the sympathetic nervous system. Other benefits include increased mood, energy, alertness, muscle recovery, immune system, burns fat, and circulation of blood. Also, it can be useful for your hair and skin.

Now that you’ve gained the knowledge above, apply it. Then grab “Your” coffee.
